This intriguing Chardonnay evokes the aromas of a Tuscan garden in full bloom. Its smooth textures and round mouthfeel leave little to be desired with each sip.
We carefully select fruit from our vineyard partners to compose a lush wine with a granular tannic structure. This Cabernet Sauvignon expresses the unique nature of each vintage boasting a bouquet that calls to mind winter baking, freshly felled timber and grandpa's smoking jacket.
Winemaker/Partner Jean Hoefliger created the AxR1 as his homage to Napa Valley and representative of the winery as a whole. Composed of our incredible single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignons, the blending of this wine is an exhibition of finesse and artistic style.

Planted on axr rootstock in 1972, these sandy goldridge soils of an ancient seabed combined with volcanic ash deposits and pockets of tufa rocks and sloping bench-lands leading into the Russian River create a remarkably unique site that produces wines of intensity and great NATURAL ACIDITY.
Crown Point Vineyard in the Happy Canyon AVA is 11 miles east of the Pacific Ocean. The coastal fog of Santa Ynez protects the vineyard from the afternoon sun, and the erosion from the San Rafael mountains integrates volcanic rock with the sandy soil, creating the right balance of stress on the vines. It is a hot spot in a cool environment, which gives the fruit the ability to ripen with phenolics, making a wine with bright fruit and an integrated acidity.
Nestled into the foothills west of Yountville, this vineyard is named for the gentle curves that mimic a woman laying upon her side. The feminine wines produced from this locale express vibrant acidity, bright red fruit, elegance and sophistication.
Located in Napa Valley's cooler Coombsville AVA, Bennett Vineyard benefits from coastal influence and a long growing season, allowing grapes to ripen slowly and develop intense flavors. Known for producing wines with balance, structure, and vibrant acidity, Bennett Vineyard’s Cabernet Sauvignon offers deep blue and black fruit notes, complex aromatics, and a lush mouthfeel, making it a standout in our collection.
This steep, terraced west-facing st helena site, denali vineyards, brings a wine with a sexy and fat structure with a mouthful of pure velvet.
AXR Napa Valley retained the V Madrone name to honor the estate’s rich history and deep-rooted connection to the land and community. Nestled at the base of Spring Mountain, the vineyard’s east-facing slopes and gravely soil create wines with exceptional complexity, structure, and vibrant acidity. The 3.5 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon yield a diverse range of flavors, while the presence of coastal redwoods adds enchanting earthy notes, tying the wines to the estate's natural beauty.
Steep terraced hillsides looking upon the western horizon, exhibit the quiet and beauty of the natural environment of St. Helena. Denali Cabernet Sauvignon gifts us with velvety and concentrated fine tannins coupled with an explosion of fruit, dark chocolate and wildflower fragrances. This wine summons the calm and warmth of watching the summer sunset over the vineyards of Napa Valley.
A composition of all four of our incredible single vineyard Cabernet Sauvignons, the blending of this wine is an exhibition of finesse and artistic style. 100% new French oak helps give this iconic wine its depth and weight, enhancing its capability for extraordinary aging potential. Indulge in the delectable banquet of blue and black fruit, red roses and savory dry herbs.

A nod to the legacy of Victor Ganzin, a pioneer in viticulture. Playful, versatile, bright and refreshing are perfect descriptors for this minerality entwined Sauvignon Blanc. A single sniff will conjure up the first days of summer, bumblebees in the orchard and yellow sun dresses. On the table or by itself it is delicate yet demands attention.
Taking the name of historic viticulturist Victor Ganzin, this Chardonnay combines traditional winemaking philosophy with the revolutionary technology we use today. Even though this is a narrow path to tread, in making this wine, we attempt the journey. We endeavor to adhere to the lessons learned from our forerunners while demonstrating the innovative techniques that have become the staple of Napa Valley's enology.
As our winemaker Jean is from Switzerland, he has a special affinity for the native grape varieties of his homeland. This European grape has been transmuted through new world wine making techniques to become a medium bodied wine with brooding dark fruit components and a use of oak that complements the natural flourish of baking spice innate to this variety.
The ripe fruits of early autumn are abundantly distributed throughout this Pinot Noir, that hails from the captivating fogs of the Petaluma Gap. It will transport your senses to the tranquil Northern California forest surrounded by native berries, wild herbs and freshly fallen foliage.
An ode to the northern Rhone, our full-bodied and lush Syrah is grown and made purposefully. Dark berry and black pepper aromas combine perfectly with tantalizing notes of smoked bacon and the brightness of spring violets
Named for the men upon which the foundation of AXR was built, also known as the "FAB4": Kelly Trevethan, Mark Schratz, Don Van Laeken, and Winemaker/Partner Jean Hoefliger. This blend is constructed of grape varieties that shine in each vintage, while maintaining a remarkable consistency in style, year after year.
In 1879 AxR1 rootstock was created by Victor Ganzin. Although it was not the long-term success that many thought it would be, the legacy lives on today in our lineup of “Ganzin” wines. Our Bordeaux style blend presents soft textures and fresh-picked fruit qualities with persistence and focus.
This blend, a new addition to our portfolio, mimics the traditional profile and varietal makeup of those in the "right bank" of Bordeaux. Bright natural acidity is beautifully balanced by the soft tannins and ripe blue fruit with notes of blueberry, blackberry, and vanilla pipe tobacco are elegantly layered throughout.
