axr ganzin chardonnay 2021
Ganzin is a reference to Victor Ganzin who is credited with the hybridization of the AxR1 rootstock. The axr rootstock was the origin of the research which gave vintners an understanding of the influence of a rootstock on wine and a vines capacity to adapt to the soil. Paying homage to traditional winemaking with a modern twist, our 2021 vinatge spent 12 months in 100% french oak and 25% new to respect the fragile profile of the Burgundy clones that we use.
on the rim: shiny, brilliant white gold with touches of mercury and parmesan cheese
on the nose: beautiful explosion of pear, banana and pineapple with lemon drops, crushed rocks and seas shells
on the palate: round, but resh entrance evolving on a high acid mid-palate with touches of pear, citrus tart and crème brûlée, lingering on dark toasted bread
