The 2022 vintage started with perfect growing conditions, but an unexpected heatwave led us to take bold, innovative steps, including unprecedented irrigation to protect the vines. Despite challenges like an unusual malolactic fermentation, the vintage evolved into something extraordinary. Winemaker Jean Hoefliger, initially cautious, was pleasantly surprised as the wines developed exceptional depth, elegance, and richness, standing out from others in the valley. The risks we took became one of our greatest successes, making 2022 a truly transformative and rewarding vintage.
